After their draw at home to Crystal Palace, the door has opened ajar for the teams like Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United chasing the Gunners down. Liverpool former a guard of honour for Arsenal and applauded the then-champions on to the field – the less said about the scoreline that day the better though. Let's just say it was a good day for a young Michael Owen, a player who would haunt Arsenal in a future cup final.
So when Arsenal do go to Anfield next month, yes, they should honour the achievement. Using it as fuel and inspiration to prevent a similar scenario happening again.
