Chelsea will be hoping to complete three transfer steals and give Enzo Maresca more than adequate depth in every position. The Blues have already added Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Liam Delap to the first-team squad while Dario Essugo and Mamadou Sarr - with the latter being loaned back to Strasbourg - have also signed.
Having won the Club World Cup and sold Noni Madueke to Arsenal, just under £150million has been obtained which has already offset any funds spent. It is, therefore, no surprise at all to see the Blues targeting more new signings withadvanced talks ongoing for Ajax defender Jorrel Hato, as football.london understands.
The versatile teenager, 19, was subsequently left out of Ajax's squad to meet Celtic in a pre-season friendly having confirmed his desire to join Chelsea. It is understood that Maresca and Co. are hoping to seal a deal in the region of £40million while the Dutch giants want closer to £60million.

If the west Londoners can reach a compromise closer to what they think Hato's asking price is, then it can certainly be considered a success withCIES Football Observatory's Estimated transfer values stating he should cost between £45.2million (€52m) and £52.4million (€60m).
As of Wednesday, July 23, negotiations with RB Leipzig for Netherlands playmaker Xavi Simons are also ongoing, football.london understands.
In terms of how much he could cost, the German outfit will do business at£56million(€65m). Bayern Munich have already expressed an interest in Simons and could yet attempt to hijack the proposed deal while Arsenal have also been credited with an interest.
Leipzig will likely want a bidding war to take place in order to increase his price, with Transfermarktvaluing him at £60million (€70m).
If Chelsea can again strike an agreement beneath what he should cost, it will be yet another positive deal. If Bayern were to complete a transfer hijack, the alternatives to Simons include Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho and Juventus star Kenan Yildiz.
According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea have gone as far as putting forward an offer to Juve in the region of €65-€68m for the 20-year-old.Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku departing alongside Madueke will likely see both room in the squad and funds available to bring in another attacker.
That does look unlikely to be Yildiz, however, with it claimed the Italian giants firmly declined the proposal. The Turkey international is potentially a generational talent and therefore it is no surprise that Juventus consider him untouchable.
Yildiz could certainly have his head turned, though, and every club will likely have a price. CIES Football Observatory's Estimated transfer values have listed him as being worth between £85.6million (€98m) and £99.6million (€114m).
That is quite the price but it would be a hugely significant signing for Chelsea if they plan to further strengthen in attack after, hopefully, wrapping up a deal for Simons.
