Due to the constantly changing paper pattern of other government recruitments, including banking and railway sectors, the craze among JEE students is constantly increasing. Earlier, only those youth used to preparing for JEE had to go only to the engineering sector. Now it is not so, and youth going to other sectors are also preparing for JEE. Upendra Sharma, Head Career Counselor of Navjivan Academy, one of the top JEE coaching institutes of Sikar, said that in the last few years, the number of students appearing in engineering entrance examinations had almost stagnated.
However, if we look at the figures of students appearing in the country's biggest engineering entrance examination for the last three years, there has been a huge jump in it. According to the data of NTA, there has been an increase of 21 to 28 percent compared to last year.
The number of students is constantly increasing.
Career counselor Upendra Sharma said that according to the data released by NTA, last year, 15 lakh 39 thousand 848 students had filled the form for both the sessions of JEE-Main examination. Out of these, 14 lakh 75 thousand 103 students gave the exam. Whereas, 7 lakh 75 thousand 383 students took the exams for both the sessions. He said that the use of technology has started in every field. Given this, the demand for technical education is also increasing. This is the reason why the youth are coming forward towards engineering, because there are more chances of getting employment in these fields in the coming time. At the same time, according to employment, the big engineering institutes of the country are making changes in their courses. Understanding the challenges of the coming time, the courses are being prepared.
Preparation to go to a different sector through JEE
Sikar resident student Rohan Kumar said that he has a dream of making a career in the banking sector. In the banking sector exam, a lot of questions on mathematics and reasoning are asked. I have started preparing for JEE to strengthen my hold on both these subjects. If I get a better engineering college, then the preparation for banking will also continue along with it. Rakhi Sharma has said that she has set her goal of joining civil services since childhood. There are many benefits of preparing for civil services by going through the engineering sector. That is why she has started preparing for JEE. Similarly, Arpit Kumar and Sudhanshu, residents of Sikar, have started preparing accordingly.
