The Chhattisgarh government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to encourage the youth of the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories who pass the preliminary examination of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The objective of this scheme is to support eligible youth for further preparation.
The benefit of this incentive scheme will be available only to those candidates who are natives of Chhattisgarh state and have a permanent caste certificate. The last date for application has been fixed as August 12, 2025.
Applications can be submitted to the Commissioner, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Office, Block-D, Indravati Bhawan, Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur, or sent by registered post. Application forms and other details are available on the department's website www.tribal.cg.gov.in.
The main eligibility conditions include that the candidate or his parents should not be income tax payers, they should not have received free residential training under any other scheme, and they should not have availed the benefit of this scheme earlier.
