The excitement is real, but so is the chaos. On 5 April, Indian fans of American rapper Travis Scott were ready to grab tickets for his debut performance in India.
However, within just minutes of it being live on BookMyShow, the site crashed multiple times, with virtual queues of reportedly over 2-3 lakh. For many, this induced a familiar heartache to the Coldplay ticketing craze last year.

From the moment tickets dropped, fans found themselves staring at numbers they couldn’t believe. With six-digit queue positions and painfully slow progress bars, many took to social media to vent their frustration.
Some had been logged in since early morning, hoping for a shot at any category — from the early bird general admission to the premium VIP sections. But the demand far outweighed the supply.
Much like Coldplay’s Mumbai concert that had people begging for access codes and calling in favours, this Travis Scott ticketing saga has already become legendary. 'I was 2,34,571 in the queue. I aged 10 years in 10 minutes,' joked one user on X (formerly Twitter).

As expected, the internet transformed its shared frustration into comedic relief. Memes to express the pain of being in a virtual line that felt like an endless tunnel flooded Instagram, Reddit, and X.

One popular meme featured a skeleton waiting by the laptop with the caption, ‘Still waiting for BookMyShow to move me one spot ahead.’
‘ I was 2,34,571 in line. I got engaged, married, had kids, and came back—and I’m still in the queue' another fan tweeted.
Another joked, ‘India has two new religions now: Cricket and Concert Queues.' The outpouring of creativity made the experience slightly more bearable for those who didn’t make it through.
Travis Scott’s first performance in IndiaWell, the frenzy is not without a reason. Travis Scott is set to perform at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on October 18, 2025, as part of his massive Circus Maximus World Tour.
