Punjab Kings amassed 219/6 at the end of 20 overs in their ongoing clash against Chennai Super Kings in Match 22 of the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League at the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, April 8.
A majestic century by Priyansh Arya (103 off 42) was one of the major reasons the hosts were able to stamp their authority on CSK despite the constant fall of wickets at the other end. Prabhsimran Singh (zero off two), skipper Shreyas Iyer (nine off seven), and Marcus Stoinis (four off seven) were all dismissed by the conclusion of the powerplay.
A double-wicket over by Ravichandran Ashwin had PBKS in all sorts of trouble at 83/5 at the end of the eighth over. However, the left-handed opening batter did not back down from the challenge. He smacked the ball to all parts of the park for fun during his dazzling 103-run knock off 42 deliveries. Shashank Singh and Marco Jansen combined for an unbeaten 65-run stand.
