Bihar: Four Ballia Devotees Killed, 21 Injured In Road Crash While En Route To Baba Dham

A tragic road accident claimed the lives of four devotees from Ballia district on Sunday as they were en route to Baba Dham for jalabhishek rituals. The incident occurred when a trailer rammed into a pickup van carrying 25 passengers from Tetarpur village under Narhi police station limits.

According to reports, the collision took place in Begusarai, Bihar. Twopassengers, Lachi Devi  and Harendra Rajbhar, died on the spot. Two others Mughun Rajbhar and Ghuruhoo Ram, succumbed to their injuries while being transported home by ambulance. The pickup was ferrying the group for the annual religious pilgrimage when the vehicle was struck from behind by the speeding trailer. The crash resulted in panic and chaos among the injured, many of whom sustained serious injuries.

Village head Brij Narayan Rajbhar confirmed that 21 injured passengers were taken to the district hospital for treatment after being brought back to their village. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem. The incident has cast a pall of grief over Tetarpur, with mourning families and villagers in shock following the sudden and devastating loss.
