Mohammed Siraj brought intensity and emotion to Lord’s as he struck early in England’s second innings, removing Ben Duckett in the sixth over in dramatic fashion. Siraj not only got the breakthrough, but he made sure Duckett knew it, unleashing a roar right in the batter’s face, followed by a slight shoulder contact as he walked past.
Bowling from around the wicket, Siraj angled one into the pitch, just outside off stump. Duckett, staying deep in his crease, attempted to play an aggressive pull shot off the back foot. However, the ball came on quicker than expected, climbing awkwardly and cramping him for room. The mistimed shot ballooned tamely to mid-on, where Jasprit Bumrah made no mistake, taking a comfortable catch.

Duckett’s brief but brisk stay at the crease ended with a run-a-ball 12, and England were reduced to 22/1.
