Three-time Grammy winner Ricky Kej recently took a dig at the makers of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ), starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol as he reacted to the film's most iconic moments - the climax train scene.
On Wednesday (July 9), the musician reacted to an X post which read, "The scene that went on to define cinema like no other ❤️" It also featured a video of the unforgettable final moment of the film.
In his reaction, Ricky offered a more logical take. Quote-posting the clip on his official X account, he wrote, "If any of the filmmakers had ever been on a train in their lives... they would have known that Kajol could have entered from any door, and would have been able to reach Shah Rukh Khan."

Netizens react to Ricky Kej's post
Ricky's comment, while clearly tongue-in-cheek, received mixed reactions. Some netizens agreed with his practical perspective, finding humour in his observation. Others, however, rushed to defend the film's cinematic magic.
"No the romance in holding his hand and getting on to train has a different emotion. Don't shatter our utopia pls," a user replied.
Another wrote, "Reaching Shah Rukh Khan wasn’t the only goal. Reaching Audience ≥ Reaching Shah Rukh Khan."
"Pls dont let logic spoil a good'ol live story," wrote another user whereas another joked, "And once she on board train , TC kick her out on next station due to travelling without ticket."
"But then it wouldn't have made it into a scene etched into memories forever! That is what movies are for," read another comment.
The iconic DDLJ scene
In the scene, Simran (Kajol), held back by her conservative father, Amrish Puri's character, breaks free and runs toward a moving train as Raj (Shah Rukh) extends his hand. After a dramatic pause and emotional music, Simran catches his hand and is pulled onto the train, reuniting the lovers in a moment that has become symbolic of Bollywood romance.
