Records broken by Vaibhav Suryavanshi
The 14-year-old prodigy etched his name in the history books, surpassing Mandeep Singh’s previous mark of eight sixes in a single U19 ODI innings. His fifty came off just 14 balls the third-fastest in India U19 history and the fourth-fastest overall in Youth ODIs. Only Rishabh Pant has scored a quicker U19 fifty for India.
His explosive knock of 86 runs off 31 balls saw him break another record overtaking Suresh Raina for the fastest 80-run mark in India U19 ODI history.

Opening the chase of 269 in the absence of regular captain Ayush Mhatre, Suryavanshi wasted no time going on the offensive. By the time he was dismissed, India were already cruising at 111/2 in just eight overs.
Suryavanshi also received support came from Vihaan Malhotra (46), Kanishk Chouhan (43), and RS Ambrish (31), as the Indian youngsters went onto win the match with 4 wickets and 33 balls to spare.
Already making headlines earlier this year with a stunning century in IPL 2025, Suryavanshi has carried that momentum into the Youth ODI format. Remarkably, he’s only three games into his U19 international career, with scores of 48, 45, and now 86 all underscoring his immense potential
