The administration's action in the Bareilly violence case continues unabated. On Saturday, the Bareilly Development Authority (BDA) took major action against associates of Maulana Tauqeer Raza, one of the riot accused. Illegal shops and showrooms located on the Pilibhit bypass road were sealed.

It was reported that all these businesses were operating without map approval. During the administrative action, chaos prevailed in the area, causing panic among local residents. An employee of the Bareilly Development Authority told the news agency IANS that the action was taken against illegal construction and commercial establishments operating without approval.

An official further stated that they have sealed 17 shops belonging to Mohammad Arif, a close associate of Maulana Tauqeer Raza. Earlier, the administration had bulldozed the illegal marriage hall of Dr. Nafees Khan, another close associate of Maulana Tauqeer Raza, the main accused in the violence.

The administration has made it clear that strict action will continue against the illegal properties of those involved in the violence and riots. In the investigation into the Bareilly riots so far, the police have filed cases against 126 named individuals, of whom 83 have been arrested.

Police raids continue to nab the absconding accused

Police are continuing to search for the other accused. It's worth noting that tensions erupted in the city after Friday prayers on September 26th. A large number of people gathered holding "I Love Mohammad" posters.

During this time, the situation deteriorated after some people protested, and stone-pelting broke out between the two sides. Police had to resort to lathi charge to bring the situation under control. Following the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered strict action against those involved in the violence.
