Since the announcement of Amber Daviesreplacing Dani Dyer on Strictly Come Dancing, she has been thrown into the deep end with rehearsals ahead of the live shows. So it's perhaps understandable that celebrating her birthday would be low down on her list of priorities.
But her professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin made sure the dancing hopeful was treated to a nice surprise for her 29th birthday, which falls on the same day as the second live show of the BBC series.
The Strictly professional, 27, walked into the rehearsal studio and presented Amber, who turns 29 today, with a large bouquet of flowers along with a Happy Birthday balloon.
The moment was captured on video and Amber captioned the Instagram post saying: "Little me would never believe I would be celebrating my last birthday in my twenties on the Strictly ballroom dancefloor."
She added: "Golden star for the most fab pro partner ever @nikita__kuzmin !!! He remembered guys best birthday EVER !!!! @bbcstrictly (he did infact say happy 40th birthday whilst handing me this gift..) Thank you so much for all the birthday love, time to celebrate with a SAMBAAAAA."

And friends and family wasted no time in sending their best wishes to Amber. One person wrote: "Happy birthday beautiful!!! What a special day it’s going to be! The last year of your twenties is going to be the best
Meanwhile, It Takes Two's roving reporter and former Strictly finalist Tasha Ghouri wrote: "Happy birthday lovely!! "
And Sue Davies, Amber's mother, penned: "A very special birthday my girl love you so much ."
Last week, having only had a short time in the rehearsal studio to practice the Waltz ahead of the live show, Amber impressed the judges.
And after performing her first routine, the former Love Island star told host Claudia Winkleman that appearing on the show is yet to register for her.
Amber explained: "It started with the waltz crash course and then it was just full steam ahead from there. But everybody has been so welcoming, and this boy, so thank you so much," as she gestured to Nikita. Claudia then then turned her attention to the pro dancer, who took the opportunity to make an emotional message to his former partner Dani Dyer.
Dani was forced out of the competition after fracturing her ankle during rehearsals.
Nikita said: "I, for the first time, was blanking during my choreography. It’s just been so quick. But to be honest, I just want to mention Dani. It was really, really a sad moment. Dani, if you’re watching, I hope that we get to finish our quickstep one day and I love you loads."
