has revealed that he kicked off his 50th birthday celebrations six months ago with a special fishing and camping trip. The former England footballer took to social media to confess that he took his sons, Romeo and Cruz, away for a technology-free holiday. It is not known if his eldest son, Brooklyn, was invited, but nevertheless, he appeared to be absent from the trip.

In the family snaps, David can be seen fishing for fresh scallops and lobster, while his sons Romeo and Cruz settled into a local bothy as they cookied the seafood on a barbecue.

In another photo, which shows Romeo and Cruz looking less than impressed, David writes: "Last time boys were allowed to use their phones. I'm not so happy about it."

Last month, David continued his 50th birthday celebrations by throwing a glitzy party in Miami, Florida. He gathered his friends and family for a black-tie bash at the city's Cipriani Socialista lounge, but Brooklyn and Nicola were nowhere to be seen.

Recently, the former England football legend marked his special occasion by hiring out the Core Restaurant in Kensington on Saturday evening [May 3], but once again, Brooklyn was noticeably absent.

He was joined by several A-listers, including , Guy Ritchie, Eva Longoria, and Gordon Ramsay. David and the rest of his family had flown into London from the South of France on David's actual birthday.

Speaking exclusively to the Express, a source has said: "David and Victoria already knew Brooklyn wouldn't be at the big party in Paris. Brooklyn had already celebrated his dad at a private smaller family event.

"Nevertheless both Victoria and David were disappointed that it has gotten to this and they can feel a wedge growing between them. Apparently Victoria has said she doesn't want this fall out to become like and the royals with their son living in America with his wife while his family stay in the UK."
