Brits can get up to £900 free cash when they switch to a high street bank. Customers can receive up to £400 by opening a current account and up to £500 by opening an ISA with Barclays, which can arrive in time for Christmas.
The reward depends on the type of account chosen, but the deadline for both is November 27, 2025. Switching to a Barclays Bank Account could earn new customers a switch bonus of £200, and £400 if they open a Premier Current Account. The latter requires a yearly income of at least £75,000, or a total balance of at least £100,000 in savings with the bank, however the first does not have the same restrictions.
To get the bonuses, customers must sign up to the Blue Rewards scheme which costs £5 per month, and gives perks such as cashback. Both accounts must also be opened in the Barclays app using the Current Account Switch Service.
To boost the free cash to a potential £900, Barclays is also offering to pay up to £500 if customers switch to its cash Isa.
They will need to transfer their ISA balance from another provider using the Isa transfer-in service, and the cash reward depends on the balance you transfer in.
Customers transferring £25,000 to £49,999.99 will receive £100; if they deposit £50,000 to £99,999.99 they can get £200; and those transferring £100,000 or more will receive £500.
The steps must be completed by November 28 to receive the Isa reward.
The reward payment will be paid to the customer's Barclays current account within 60 business days after the completion of their last eligible transfer or 60 business days after November 28, whichever is sooner.
The order you do the two offers is important here - you would need to first open the current account, because you need to be a new customer to get that reward, and then switch your Isa, because you need a Barclays current account to claim the money.
