ITV star heartbroken over family death weeks after split from Coronation Street actress

ITV star Ricky Rayment, who recently split up with Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn after a two-year relationship, has revealed his family has suffered a heartbreaking tragedy as his sister has died at the age of 56. The 34-year-old, who found fame on The Only Way Is Essex, paid tribute to his sibling artist Lisa Kempley following her funeral on August 20.

He took to Instagram to share an image of the make-up artist's order of service and accompanied it with a touching caption. "RIP, my beautiful sister. You got the send-off you deserved. Love you forever," he penned. Lisa's death had been announced earlier this month in a family statement. "We are saddened to announce that our lovely Lisa passed away on Friday, 25th July. We know she was truly loved by friends and clients alike, and therefore want to extend an open invitation to attend her funeral service. Irreplaceable wife, mum, sister, daughter, friend and eyebrow queen," it read.

The news of his sister's death came just as Ricky split from his girlfriend of two years, Coronation Street and Strictly Come Dancing star Katie McGlynn.

The 32-year-old played Sinead Tinker in the long-running ITV soap for six years until her character was killed off in 2019.

Ricky and Katie began dating in 2023 after meeting on a cruise ship, and it was widely believed they would get engaged. However, just last month, they both deleted all their loved-up images of each other from their respective social media accounts.

At the time, a source told MailOnline: "Katie and Ricky have ended their romance, they're still friends and want to remain civil, but in terms of a romantic relationship, it's definitely over."

Ricky's famous friends and TOWIE co-stars rushed to offer their support following his post about his sister.

Chloe Lewis commented: "So sorry to hear this news, she's was such a beautiful lady. Life is just so unfair sometimes, sending all my love to her beautiful family."

Former TOWIE star, Fran Parman, penned: "Sending you all so much love. Lisa was just the brightest soul in the room. Beautiful lady inside and out. Thinking of you all. Xxxx"

Meanwhile Jess Wright, who previously dated Ricky, wrote: "I'm so so sorry, sending so much love."
