Mirra Andreeva said she is planning to take revenge revenge on coach Conchita Martinez when she plays in Wimbledon's Invitational Doubles event later this week. Andreeva has previously discussed the ruthless training schedule Martinez puts her through, and the youngster has her eye on an opportunity to get her own back.

Teenage superstar Andreeva and 1994 Wimbledon winner Martinez have formed a formidable partnership since they started working together in April last year. The 18-year-old is up to fourth in the WTA's live rankings, and she dispatched 10th seed Emma Navarro in straight sets on Monday.

During a colourful on-court interview, a bubbly Andreeva admitted she was flustered at seeing Roger Federer and his wife watching on from the Royal Box. And there were more chuckles around the arena when she was asked about her coach's upcoming doubles assignment.

Andreeva admitted she plans to embarrass Martinez by making a scene on the side of the court, saying: "I can get my revenge, finally. I think she starts tomorrow.

"I'm already thinking about a poster that I will make and I hope that some people will help me do this. I will come to the court with a huge poster, support and coach [her] because I think that's my time to get back at her."

Andreeva and Martinez have built a unique relationship in the time they have spent working together, with the youngster poking fun at her more than once during this year's Championships.

After making it through the second round, she threw Martinez under the bus by exposing her gruelling schedule and giving her a sarcastic 'thanks' for good measure.

"I think we should ask Conchita what we will work on because I'm sure she's not going to just let me go home," Andreeva said. "We'll stay here for a couple more hours and practice something. It's not going to be easy but what can I say? She pushes me to my limit so thanks for that, I guess!"
