Prince Harry was said to be "so desperate" to settle down that he "ignored" Prince William's piece of advice after he met Meghan Markle, a royal commentator has claimed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex first met in 2016, got engaged one year later, and tied the knot in 2018.
Harry and Meghan's days as senior Royal Family members and their ongoing feud with the Firm have come back into the spotlight recently after author Sally Bedell Smith published various claims from the late Queen Elizabeth's close confidante, Lady Elizabeth Anson, about the Firm's stance on the Sussexes. The Daily Mail's Rebecca English spoke about the latest revelations on the programme, saying: "I know from my own sources that there were strong reservations, that they felt, all of the family felt that Harry was rushing into this too quickly and needed, as we now know, William memorably said to him, 'Maybe you just need to take a little bit of time to get to know this woman and plan your future more'. But he was so desperate to settle down and start a family, and he as a person fell in love very quickly, that he just didn't want to do that."
