Its recent medical drama Pulse has drawn comparisons to the iconic Grey's Anatomy, and now Ransom Canyon is being likened to Paramount+'s
The 10-part drama received the official go-ahead back in December 2023 and has just landed on Netflix in its entirety on Thursday, April 17.
Starring Las Vegas' Josh Duhamel and Friday Night Lights' Minka Kelly, Ransom Canyon explores the lives of three of the town's largest ranches, including the ups and downs of their complex families.
Alongside the captivating cast, the breathtaking backdrop of the Netflix drama has caught viewers' attention, with many keen to discover where it was filmed.

While the town of Ransom Canyon is central to the Netflix series, it sadly doesn't exist in reality.
However, creator April Blair drew inspiration from real towns across New Mexico, which served as the actual filming locations.
The cast and crew spent much of the 15-month production in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe, where real-life ranches were used for filming. So, despite the Texas setting, filming did not take place there.
Blair, the mind behind hits like Wednesday and All American, told Tudum: "Most of New Mexico is adobe architecture, and there's this one little old mining town in northern New Mexico very close to the Texas border called Las Vegas, ironically, that just looks like an old Texas town.
"It has all the old turn of the century architecture and storefronts."
Detailing further, ranches including Blame Her Ranch in Ribera and the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe served as pivotal sites for filming Ransom Canyon.
Actor Jack Schumacher, opening up to Distractify, enthused: "It's a really gorgeous area. And when you're out riding a horse through this scenic ranch, it's easy to sort of feel like you're really there with the characters."
The Netflix series made good use of its Alburquerque production hub too, which reportedly boasts 12 sound stages, for parts of the project.
Ransom Canyon is available to watch on Netflix.
