Aizawl: People of all faiths across Mizoram came together on Sunday to pray for peace for the brave Indian soldiers involved in Operation Sindoor, as well as those stationed in active battle zones, responding to a nationwide call made by the Centre, reports HC Vanlalruata.

Christian congregations held special prayer services in churches on Saturday night and again on Sunday. Followers of other faiths, including Hindu and Muslim communities, also offered prayers at their temples and mosques, seeking divine guidance and peace for the nation.

Rev Dr Lalhmangaiha, general secretary of Church Council of Mizoram (CCM), in a circular issued on Saturday said the CCM received an appeal made by Union HM Amit Shah through chief minister Lalduhoma to offer prayer in the member denominations. Though the appeal came at a short notice, Lalhmangaiha in turn made appeal to the local churches of denominations within the CCM to offer mass prayers for peace in the India-Pakistan conflict.
