Jaipur: The family of a 24-year-old woman doctor accused a youth of murdering her in Haryana's Hisar district. They alleged that the doctor, Bhawna Yadav, a resident of Anantpura village in Behror area, was stabbed with a sharp weapon before being set on fire.
Bhawna recently completed her medical degree from Philippines and was preparing for Post-Graduation exams while living in Rajasthan. She travelled to Delhi every week to appear for mock tests. On April 21, she left for Delhi but never returned home.
According to Bhawna's family, a man identified as Udesh Yadav called her mother on April 24 and informed her that Bhawna suffered burn injuries and was admitted to a hospital in Hisar. The family rushed to Hisar and later shifted her to SMS Hospital in Jaipur, where she died during treatment the same night. The family also reported that her mobile phone, laptop, and important documents were missing.
A zero number FIR was first registered at the SMS Hospital police outpost in Jaipur and later transferred to Hisar police for further investigation.
Bhawna's mother, Gayatri Yadav, who is a govt school principal, told police that the injuries and circumstances clearly pointed to a planned murder. Bhawna was staying with her younger sister in Delhi before she went missing.
A police officer said that based on the family's complaint, a zero number FIR was registered and forwarded to Hisar as the crime took place under the jurisdiction of Hisar police. Police officials added that Udesh Yadav, who is accused of murdering the woman doctor, is currently missing and has switched off his mobile phone.
