NEET UG 2025 counselling schedule released, registrations open from 21 July

NEET UG 2025 counselling : The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially released the NEET UG 2025 counselling schedule for candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing courses under the All India Quota (AIQ), deemed, central universities, AIIMS institutes, and JIPMER. Registrations for the first round of counselling will commence from July 21, 2025, on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.

Candidates who have qualified in the NEET UG 2025 entrance examination are required to register online to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process. The schedule details all important dates related to registration, choice filling, seat allotment, result declaration, and reporting.

Counselling schedule overview and registration process
The counselling for NEET UG 2025 is divided into multiple rounds, with the first round registration window opening on July 21 and closing on July 28, 2025. During this period, candidates must complete payment and choice filling to be considered for seat allotment. Payment facilities will remain available until 3:00 PM on the last day of registration. The choice locking option will be open from 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM on July 28, allowing candidates to finalise their preferences.

After the registration and choice filling window closes, the MCC will process seat allotments between July 29 and July 30. The results will be announced on July 31, 2025. Candidates allotted seats must report and join their respective institutes between August 1 and August 6, 2025. Following this, the verification of joined candidates’ data by participating institutes will be conducted on August 7 and 8.

Eligibility and counselling participation
Only candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2025 are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The MCC counselling covers seats under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), institutional quota seats managed by MCC, all seats at AIIMS, JIPMER, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), ESIC institutions, as well as seats in central and deemed universities.

Candidates are advised to keep all necessary documents ready for the registration and counselling process. These include a valid email ID, mobile number, passport-sized photograph, scanned images of signature and thumb impression, and online payment facility for fee submission.

Important instructions for candidates
Candidates must ensure they complete all steps of the registration process on the official MCC portal. This includes registration, uploading of documents, fee payment, choice filling, and locking of preferences within the stipulated deadlines. Failure to adhere to these timelines may result in disqualification from the current round.

It is important to note that all Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted holidays will be treated as working days to adhere strictly to the counselling schedule and avoid delays.

The MCC has emphasised that candidates should monitor the official website regularly for updates and further rounds of counselling. Subsequent rounds will follow a similar schedule, with registration and seat allotment dates announced accordingly.
