When Ranbir Kapoor said that Alia Bhatt is not his first wife: 'A girl came running with a pandit'

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot in 2022 at their home in Bandra. They are now parents to a beautiful baby girl, Raha Kapoor. As they celebrate their anniversary today, did you know that Ranbir had once revealed that Alia is not his first wife? Ranbir said that there was a fan who came to his house to marry him.

He said during an interview with Mashable India, "I wouldn't say craziest as it is used in a negative way but I remember when I started like in early years. There was a girl and I never met her but my watchman told me that she came with a pandit and married my gate. At the bungalow I used to live with my parents and there was some tika on the gate and some flowers so. I was out of town at that time I think so that was quite crazy. I haven't yet met my first wife yet so I look forward to meeting you at some point."

Meanwhile, Alia always had a crush on Ranbir and she has confessed about her dream of marrying him many a times, even before they started dating. The actress had opened up on how their relationship started. She said, "When I was single after a very long time, everyone around me, my sis and friends said you and he (Ranbir) are going to be together. We talked about it on our flight. We were seated together and then something went wrong with his seat. Later his seat got fixed and when we exchanged notes. The vibe started there only and the rest is history."

Alia and Ranbir started dating when they began working on 'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva'. They will be seen sharing screen space again in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love And War'.
