Salman Khan has now gotten a fresh new threat. For those not in the know, the actor has been getting a lot of death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi. It all started when two men fired gun shots outside his house in April last year. Later, the matter got serious when Baba Siddique passed away and he was assassinated. Post this, the security around Salman has been amped up. One has also seen that there are bullet proof glasses in the balcony of his house.
The 'Sikandar' star gets a new threat
Salman is now faced with a new threat. The police has said that this threat has been received via a message sent to the WhatsApp number of Mumbai's Transport Department in Worli. The threatening message warned of killing the actor by entering his house and also included a threat to blow up his car with a bomb.
After this incident, a complaint has been filed against an unknown person at the Worli police station. Authorities are currently investigating the source and authenticity of the threat. Thus, as of now, it's not clear if this threat has come from Lawrence Bishnoi.
Why is Lawrence Bishnoi angry with Salman?
Bishnoi has been wanting to take revenge from Salman for the fact that the actor allegedly killed a blackbuck during the shoot of 'Hum Saath Saath Hai'. The Bishnoi community, which reveres the blackbuck was deeply offended by the incident. In 2018 when, during a court appearance in Jodhpur, Bishnoi said, "We will kill Salman Khan. Everyone will know once we take action. I have not done anything as of now, they are accusing me of crimes for no reason."
Salman's reaction to the death threats
During the promotions of his film 'Sikandar', Salman had broken silence on these death threats. The actor was interacting with a group of media as he promoted his movie 'Sikandar'. Reacting to whether he's scared with all the death threats he's been receiving, the actor said, "Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai. Kabhi kabhi itne logon ko saath mein leke chalna padta hai, bas wohi problem ho jaati hai."
On work front
Salman's film 'Sikandar' released on Eid. The film didn't match up to the expectations of a usual Salman Khan movie. It crossed Rs 100 crore at the box office.
