Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton went way beyond the script for Friday Night SmackDown in Chicago

Send Push
With just two weeks until WrestleMania 41 , things are heating up in WWE as wrestlers face off against each other before the Show of Shows begins. And during last night's SmackDown episode in Chicago, things took a turn when Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair took the stage for a promo segment on the Road to WrestleMania. The two women will be locking horns in Las Vegas for the WWE Women's Champion title, but before that, they had some pretty cutting words to throw at each other, allegedly even going off script.

Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton go off script during SmackDown
Charlotte Flair won the 2025 Women's Royal Rumble and challenged Tiffany Stratton for the Women's Champion title, a belt Stratton has been carrying with pride since January 2025. The two will face off against each other in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 41, but before that, they were recently in Chicago for a segment in SmackDown, which is getting a lot of heat for going off script.

According to WrestleVotes, the two women said "very little" of what was actually in their script for the segment and went rogue. They did their own bits, with Stratton asking Flair, "What is that record, like 0-3?” not so subtly pointing to her three divorces. On the other hand, Flair was not one to hold back, who made a comment on Stratton's boyfriend, Ludwig Kaiser being "in my DMs."

How much of the segment was off script?

The complete SmackDown segment between Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair was not uploaded on social media and YouTube by WWE. But it is available on a few X (formerly Twitter) accounts, where the personal digs that these two women threw at each other is still available. Many believe that the hostility Flair faced from the booing Chicago crowd threw her off her game, and led her to first start making personal comments about the current WWE Women's Champion.

After the March 21 episode of SmackDown from Bologna, Italy, when the two women exchanged some heated words from behind the screen, the management thought it best to have a moderator in the form of commentator Wade Barrett. But even that proved to be of little help, as things got personal pretty quick.
