'I'm not alleged. I did it': Texas teen's chilling words after fatally stabbing Austin Metcalf

17-year-old Karmelo Anthony who allegedly stabbed Austin Metcalf to death after an argument over seats at a sports event told the cops that he was not an alleged in the crime, he did it. According to an arrest warrant obtained by NBC DFW, he told the police when he was being arrested: "I am not alleged, I did it." The arrest report said that the stabbing took place when Anthony who was sitting under another team's tent was asked by Metcalf to move. Anthony said his action was in self-defense as Metcalf "grabbed Anthony to tell him to move". After stabbing the knife into Metcalf's heart, Anthony ran away while Metcalf was left to die in the arms of his twin brother who witnessed the tragedy unfolding in front of his eyes.

'I was protecting myself'

Karmelo Anthony allegedly told the cops that he was protecting himself as Metcalf put his hands on him.

The horrific incident triggered a massive debate on social media as to whether it was a racial attack. Metcalf's twin brother confirmed that they did not know Anthony and that everything happened within 30 seconds.

Metcalf's father said the incident was not racial or political and people who are commenting on social media were not there at the spot when his son was killed.

"Will anybody in media talk about Austin Metcalf the way they talked about George Floyd? What’s more of a tragedy, a criminal overdosing on fentanyl, or a Christian, high-school, straight-A athlete murdered at a track meet?" commentator Jason Whitlock said.

Karmelo's father Andrew Anthony has also spoken up about the social media outrage over the incident and said his son is being portrayed wrongly. Karmelo is a good student and not an aggressor, he said. “Everyone has already made their assumptions about my son, but he’s not what they’re making him out to be,” he told the New York Post.
