Three women drown in YG Gudda reservoir in Ramanagara district; four others rescued

Ramanagara: Three young women from Bengaluru drowned while swimming in the YG Gudda reservoir near Magadi in Ramanagara district on Sunday.

The victims have been identified as Bhargavi (22), Ramya (20), and Madhu (25), all residents of Electronic City in Bengaluru.

According to police, a group of seven women had come to visit a village fair in Ainorapalya near Magadi. After attending the event, they went to the nearby reservoir for a swim, where three of them accidentally drowned.

Their bodies were recovered and sent to the government hospital in Magadi for post-mortem.

Magadi police have registered a case.
