Ranchi, April 21 Temperatures across Jharkhand have begun to surge again, pushing several districts into the grip of an early summer heatwave. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures have crossed 40°C in several areas, affecting normal life and increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.
Ranchi, Daltonganj Among Hottest RegionsThe state capital Ranchi recorded a high of over 36°C, while Daltonganj emerged as the hottest region with the mercury shooting up to 41.8°C. Other districts witnessing soaring temperatures include:

The heat has become particularly intense in the Palamu and Garhwa regions, where hot winds and heatwave conditions have returned, posing risks to health and livelihoods.
IMD Predicts Further Rise in TemperaturesThe IMD has issued advisories warning that the heat may intensify in the coming days, with daytime temperatures expected to climb even higher. Citizens are urged to take precautions, stay hydrated, and avoid outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours.
