  • Dewald Brevis, the Player of the Match, expressed his joy and satisfaction with his performance. He's thoroughly enjoying the game and having fun on the field, embracing his natural self and relishing the moment. Brevis focused on contributing to the team's cause and was glad to have done so. He also shared his passion for Test cricket, considering it the pinnacle of the sport, and emphasized the importance of persistence and sticking to what works for him in the red-ball format.
  • MS Dhoni, the Chennai Super Kings skipper, says that they did not have a good season, but are happy to end well. Adds that it was a perfect game for them as most boxes ticked. Shares that he has four to five months to decide, and there is no hurry. Mentions that he will need to put in more hard work to compete next year, as the cricketers need to have hunger and contribute to the side. Adds that he will take some time off and go for a few bike rides in Ranchi. He says that he may or may not come back next year and leaves it up to the time. Shares that their first four games were in Chennai, they batted second, and felt that batting first was a better option as the wicket played well at the start. Shares that they are more of a team that would bat first and post runs on the board. Adds that next season, when Ruturaj Gaikwad comes back, he hopes to give him a strong side and with not a lot of boxes to tick. Ends by telling that he feels old when people touch his feet, but is glad with all the love.
  • Time for the Presentations...
  • Chennai Super Kings' Noor Ahmad, currently sporting the Purple Cap, comes for a chat. He shares his thoughts on the season. Despite a rough campaign, he has highlighted the team's strong finish as a morale booster. Noor particularly enjoyed dismissing Arshad, which was a well-executed plan. He acknowledged that the team gave their best, but cricket can be unpredictable. Noor ended on a positive note, looking forward to bouncing back stronger next season.
  • Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill is up for a chat. He reflects on the team's recent performances, acknowledging that they've struggled to recover from a setback in the powerplay. He emphasized the importance of staying calm under pressure and learning from mistakes. Gill informs that the team has failed to capitalize on the middle overs in recent games, which has cost them dearly. Despite the tough pill to swallow, he says that the team environment will remain positive, and they'll regroup to perform well in their upcoming match in Mohali.
  • The Chennai Super Kings were brilliant with the ball and kept taking wickets at regular intervals. Anshul Kamboj and Noor Ahmad took three wickets each, while Ravindra Jadeja removed Shahrukh Khan and Sai Sudharsan in the same over. Khaleel Ahmed and Matheesha Pathirana chipped in with one apiece to round off an all-round bowling effort for the Men in Yellow. Earlier today, CSK batted first and posted a massive score of 230/5 on the back of fifties from Dewald Brevis and Devon Conway, while Ayush Mhatre and Urvil Patel also contributed with quick-fire knocks. Prasidh Krishna was the pick of the bowlers for the home side. This is the first instance this season where the Titans have lost back-to-back games, and it is a cause of concern for the Shubman Gill-led side. CSK, meanwhile, will be delighted to end their season on a high.
  • The Chennai Super Kings have finally found a complete performance and ended their season with a big win against the table toppers - Gujarat Titans. CSK will finish at the bottom of the table, but a lot of positives to take for the Men in Yellow going into the next season. Chasing yet another big score of 231 for the win, the Titans were off to a shaky start, losing three big wickets inside the powerplay. Shahrukh Khan and Sai Sudharsan did the rebuilding with a fifty-run stand, but both the batters were then dismissed in quick succession. It was an uphill task from thereon. Arshad Khan, Rahul Tewatia, and Rashid Khan struck a few lusty blows, but the Titans were eventually bundled out for 147, losing by 83 runs. The Titans still occupy the pole position but might lose it soon if the other results don't go their way.
